About Us – Mahatma Gandhi Shikshan Sansthan

Mahatma Gandhi Shikshan Sansthan (Affiliated to C.B.S.E., Delhi upto Sr. Secondary Level) is a Co-Educational English Medium School. It is situated at Wajitpur (Near B.M.P.-13) under P.S.- Bahadurpur, Distt.- Darbhanga, the Heart of Mithila. The school was founded by Mr. Hira Kumar Jha, the Chairman of the school in the year 2001 at Khajasarai, Laheriasarai, Darbhanga. In the year 2003 it was shifted to Gandhi Vihar (North of Mirza Khan Tank), Laheriasarai, Darbhanga. It imparts quality education as per the guidelines of C.B.S.E., Delhi.

It is run and managed by “SAMARPIT JEEVAN”, a society registered under Societies Registration Act XXI, 1860. The objective of the school is to mould the students into worthy citizens by developing their educational, intellectual and physical standards.

Our Pride

We are proud that the School has been conferred Educational Excellence Award for its quality services. The School children never miss the opportunity to participate in Science Exhibitions. They have given power point presentations with their projects, a couple of times, at the National levels of Children’s Science Congress and CBSE Science Exhibitions. The students have zealously participated in various Programmes and Competitions such as Cultural program, Poster Making, Essay Writing, Debates & Speeches at District, State & National level and bagged several prizes.

The academic results have been outstanding in the CBSE Board Examinations year by year. Ranked 1st Best School in Darbhanga, 2nd in North Bihar and 14th in Bihar by Times School Survey – 2024.
